Travel Vaccination FAQs

How far in advance should I visit the travel clinic?

We recommend visiting 6–8 weeks before travel. Some vaccines require multiple doses spaced over several weeks. However, we can still provide protection at short notice and prioritise the most important vaccines for your destination.

Do I need a GP referral to visit your travel clinic?

No. You can book directly with us. Our GPhC-registered Independent Prescribers can assess and vaccinate you without any referral from your GP.

What is included in a travel health consultation?

Your consultation covers your itinerary and destinations, current vaccine status, health history, required and recommended vaccines, antimalarial prescriptions if needed, and general travel health advice (food safety, insect bite prevention, altitude sickness).

Are you a designated Yellow Fever vaccination centre?

Yes. Myway Clinic is an official designated Yellow Fever vaccination centre. We can issue the International Certificate of Vaccination (ICVP), which is required for entry to certain countries.

Can you prescribe antimalarials on the same day?

Yes. Our Independent Prescribers can assess your risk and issue antimalarial prescriptions (Malarone, Lariam, Doxycycline) during the same appointment as your travel consultation.

How much do travel vaccinations cost?

Prices vary by vaccine. We offer transparent pricing and provide a full cost breakdown during your consultation. Combination packages are available for common multi-vaccine destinations.

Can children receive travel vaccinations at Myway Clinic?

Yes. We offer travel vaccinations for adults and children. Some vaccines have age restrictions, which we will advise on at your consultation.

What should I bring to my travel clinic appointment?

Please bring your passport (to confirm travel dates), any existing vaccination records or yellow card, and your itinerary including specific regions you'll be visiting.
