Frequently Asked Questions
When in my cycle should I have this test?
Most hormone tests are most informative on Day 2–5 of your cycle (FSH, LH, Oestrogen). Progesterone is best tested on Day 21. We'll advise at booking.
Can this test help assess perimenopause?
Yes. FSH levels alongside symptom history can indicate perimenopause. Our clinicians can interpret results in the context of your symptoms and age.
Do I need to fast?
Fasting for 8–10 hours is recommended for an accurate HbA1c and glucose reading. Water is fine to drink.
Can this test help with HRT decisions?
The results can inform discussions about whether HRT is appropriate. Our Independent Prescribers can prescribe HRT where clinically indicated.
